Several owners also mention a low-pressure approach to sales (e.g., “not hard sellers”) and staff who actively help nervous dogs build confidence (treats/fuss at reception; calmer handling over time).

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars isn’t enough for this vets. Honestly, I think my little Pom believes she works here now. The reception staff absolutely spoil her rotten endless fuss, treats, and attention which has done wonders for her confidence. When we first brought her in, she was hiding under the chairs like a tiny nervous potato. Fast-forward to now and she struts confidently into the vet room, chest out, fully expecting snacks like the little queen she is 👑 We were genuinely amazed recently when she calmly accepted handling from a vet something that was previously impossible. Now she actually gets excited when she’s here, which says everything about how kind and patient the staff are. The Petplan is fantastic and worth every penny. We live 45 minutes away and still wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. Amazing team, amazing care, and one extremely proud (and treat-motivated) Pomeranian and chihuahua. Highly recommend

My Roxy is a dog and she had her yearly check recently, she doesn’t like going to the vets and gets very nervous. The staff here are all fantastic, from the receptionist to the vet, they all play an important part. The vets are very patient and try their hardest to calm Roxy down. Would highly recommend them, they are not hard sellers of their products either where some are. Thank you again!

Came here for a second opinion and the vet was absolutely amazing. Informed me correctly on how to care for my animal and undertook the treatment that was needed. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful too. I would definitely recommend this vets!

Excellent service received from Nurture Vets. I have taken my cat here for 10 years and have always received a brilliant service. Unfortunately, I needed urgent treatment on a Sunday for my cat and the vet was there within 15 minutes. I was kept updated throughout and sadly when we made the difficult decision to let our cat go, we were treated with sympathy and respect. Saying goodbye was really hard and we were given time to do this. Everything felt really personal, from the lovely sympathy card to the ashes being presented beautifully with a card also from the crematorium. Thank you

Our usually lively cockapoo had become noticeably lethargic. He was also somewhat less interested in his food. Whilst out on a gentle walk in Wells we noticed what appeared to be signs of blood in his faeces. We phoned Nurture immediately and they invited us to take him in directly. He was thoroughly examined on arrival and we were given a diagnosis which required a short term change in diet and accompanying medication. We left having been provided with all the food and meds needed for the treatment which we were able to start immediately. A couple of days later he was completely back to his old self. At a very worrying time the manner, sensitivity and immediacy of the service we received was exemplary. Thank you Beth and team. We could not have wished for better care!

I have been using Nurture vets for 15 years now. I am always amazed and delighted with the care and dedication that all the staff give to giving the best treatment to my furry friends. I have been in the unfortunate position that my dogs have all needed extra help through illnesses and I can’t fault the staff who always go the extra mile to make sure they do everything possible to help them. I would like to say thank you but that hardly seems adequate for the support they have given me as well as my animals. I can thoroughly recommend Nurture vets and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

All of the staff here are absolutely incredible. When we have visited in the past it has been for routine appointments, except for one late night emergency with a dog visiting us early in 2025 (they very kindly treated him out of hours even though he wasn't a patient of theirs). My husband and I had to rush our dog in yesterday after he suddenly collapsed and was very distressed (as were we!). The staff were all so kind and helpful, and a vet (Rob) saw him straight away. Rob was incredible, helping to get our dog into the consulting room, examining him, listening carefully to everything we could tell him, and giving thorough advice and great treatment. I cannot recommend Nurture Wells highly enough. They are wonderful!
