Yeovil Vets4Pets Ltd operates under the Vets for Pets brand; the clinic website describes it as locally owned and a modern, well‑equipped practice. It appears set up for routine care plus diagnostics and surgery, with facilities listed including an in‑house lab, digital X‑ray/ultrasound, operating theatre, hospital ward, isolation unit, oxygen chamber, and separated dog and cat wards. The practice also states there is 24‑hour emergency service cover available via phone when the clinic is closed.
From the latest reviews available, owners most often mention getting same‑day appointments and staff accommodating challenging pets (one reviewer says their reactive dog is “always catered for”). There is also a serious negative account involving a guinea pig where the reviewer alleges misdiagnosis, rough handling, and that the branch doesn’t have exotic vets—suggesting owners with “exotic” pets may want to clarify species support before booking.

Unfortunately, our guinea pig was misdiagnosed by the vet here and ended up passing away due to a severe urinary blockage. We have established that there are no exotic vets in the Yeovil branch, and that we needed to go to Dorchester instead. This unfortunately was something we learned too late. The vet we saw was very rough with our guinea pig, and didn’t do the proper examinations that we’ve found out were needed. If these tests were done in the first place, our piggie could still be alive. If you have a guinea pig or pet considered ‘exotic’, Dorchester is your safest bet as they have exotic specialists. Heartbroken that we have had to find this out this way.

All three dogs and 4 cats are looked after here. 1 reactive dog always catered for, and well looked after.

Lovely staff. I have been able to get appointments on the day of calling both times I have contacted Vets for Pets recently. From the initial call through to seeing the vets, everyone is very caring and compassionate. My dog has been on the pet plan since we got him and it has been brilliant, so easy and convenient.

Absolutely wonderful, caring kindness was shown to me and my darling fur baby. I will be eternally grateful for the way he was looked after. Sadly I lost him but I was shown such wonderful compassion. Thank you 💔

My grateful thanks for your help on Saturday 23rd November 24. I cannot fault the level of professionalism, compassion, advice and the fact that traffic made me 20 minutes. The Italian lady was great and nothing was too much trouble. The young lady on reception was equally helpful. Simon
