Modestas Tverskis the Vet at yeovil, euthanised my precious healthy pup on the 03.09.25 without checking microchip to contact me as the owner whilst he was a locum at another practice which my dog was not even registered at either, avoid this man going near your animals, !!! ESCALATING

Some of the vets are very nice, understanding and patient, while others instead make you feel like they're almost doing you a favour by looking at your dog, even if it's for wellness check that you're entitled to do once a year for free, if you're on the premium plan like we are. Not to mention the reception staff, often quite rude, with no patience nor empathy whatsoever.

Appalling service from this veterinary group. Our family pet had a problem with her rear legs which required a short notice appointment. The vet who saw my mother-in-law was rude and showed no empathy whatsoever towards her upset over the pain her dog was in. She was very direct and started giving her a run down of extortionate costs say “well that’s inflation for you”. After talking with her when she arrived home after the shocking consultation we said she should get a second opinion. She did this and found a much better veterinary surgery (Delaware) in Yeovil. Having used this veterinary for over 20+ years to care for several pets this has soured any previous good work. The receptionist couldn’t have cared less after we asked for the details to be moved to another veterinary (Delaware) surgery. I would highly recommend you take your pets elsewhere.

Took my 8 yr old pug to this vets After 3 appointments of seeing a different vet each time it was decided he needed 2 teeth out.....booked him in for it and when I picked him up I was told they took out 21 teeth....(without consulting me)......the next day he had a massive ear infection....was treated for this.....then 2 days after that we realised he had suddenly gone blind....not once did the 3 vets notice an eye issue.... .we know it happened through the teeth extraction surgery. and we were not told something went wrong while he was in their care. I have e mailed the surgery 3 weeks ago and yet again they are keeping quiet and not responding. My dog now has a life of total darkness because of neglect.

The third time I’ve come away dissatisfied with the service. I’ve previously put things down to circumstances beyond anyone’s control but now becoming the norm to walk away disappointed. Previous treatment of our cat who was extremely precious to us as she was our daughters cat and who we lost to cancer 6 months previous. Real lack of empathy when we had to let her go. Also took my Golden Retriever for a checkup and they weighed him and checked his teeth but nothing else, not even a temp check, which is now readable from his micro chip. And now lately returned with Golden Retriever to be told he’s now got rear muscle wastage after we took him in for a sore left foot? Also advised as we didn’t maintain his kennel vaccinations, although he doesn’t stay in kennels our insurance which we have had since the dog was a puppy would probably be void. Surely that’s an insurance decision. Now looking to go elsewhere to try and get our trust back from the vet.

All staff are fabulous! There receptionists are pleasant to talk to and kind. The nursing staff are second to none. The veterinary surgeons are professional, caring, very knowledgeable, gentle and sympathetic. Our cats have had more than 9 lives because of these people. Veterinary surgeon Modestas has known our cats for over 16 years. He has nurtured and loved our twin gingers and saved Sox many times with his fantastic knowledge of medication and procedures since he was 2 years old. We are so very grateful for everything he has done. We recently sadly, said goodbye to Sox. The care and respect for him and us was very touching. We can, without any hesitation recommend Kingston Vets in Yeovil.
