I took my pet there at night time because it was the only one that said it was opened, my dog was in discomfort I just wanted someone to see her and give medical advice, but basically was turned away as they don't accept walk ins only referrals or the animals that are registered with them. I can only imagine if a poor animal is in critical condition and they don't accept. There was no vet on site aswell. Then they came and turned the lights off just to say they not there basically. I would give 0 stars!

All staff were friendly, kind, compassionate and professional. Veterinary/medical terms were explained clearly and we felt listened to, not rushed. The nurses even brushed my dog before I brought him home.

I haven’t been asked to post a review and, in any case generally post reviews based on a negative experience however Cave Vet Specialists is an exception. Our three year old English Bulldog suddenly lost the use of our back legs and our local vet suspected a neurological issue. I had a choice of specialist vets and picked Cave Vet Specialists based purely on geographical location without having time to consult reviews. They have been exceptional all the way through. The first vet, Sabrina, immediately narrowed the issue down to three potential causes and we were given the option either of an MRI or to let nature cure it on the basis of the likely cause. There was full transparency on the costs. We opted for the MRI which confirmed the first cause which Sabrina had discussed. We were given the prognosis and support to find local physiotherapy and they released her as soon as she was fit to come home. At all times the entire staff were caring and attentive and gave us so much support during this difficult time. We won’t hesitate to use their services again (but hope we don’t need to)!

Although we would never have been there from choice, I’m so grateful to everyone at Cave from Kate and the ladies on the desk who moved mountains on Tuesday to Tom and the rest of the medical team who looked after Toffee and myself so well on a day none of us would have chosen. Clear and honest communication from the minute we arrived, regular updates and a vey compassionate and caring discussion of next steps, possible treatment and prognosis. Thank you all for your compassion, kindness and care.

I highly recommend Cave. They took the best care of my little Yoshi when IVDD struck - he's now able to walk again and is back to his happy bouncy nature! So grateful to the amazing team for all their hard work.
